Carolyn Wing is a native of Seattle and first came to the Midwest to study for a Master of Public Policy at the University of Michigan.  After working as a municipal financial analyst in New York City, she then earned her M.A. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from New York University. Her teaching experience with young children has been in schools from New York City and Yokohama, Japan, to the Chicago area.  A University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener, she finds great joy in nurturing children’s connection with nature and brings into her classroom all manner of things growing.
